Welcome! Heart's Desire Artworks was birthed out of my heart's desire to have my own studio. For many years I longed and prayed for something separate from my living area.
In 1997 I was living in Gainesville, Florida and had decided to buy a house. For months as I looked around, the few places I was interested in "somehow" became impossible to purchase. The situation was looking hopeless. I put it in the Lord's hands...it didn't look good, however I knew He had a place for me. I was teaching in Ocala, 40 minutes south. One day after school while walking to the corner to get a realestate magazine, I passed an empty house...which I had passed many times. I thought to myself, "this house looks abandoned, if it's decent maybe I could inquire and move it to some property. When I looked inside it was beautiful! I rushed back to school and made several calls to find out about it . Yes it was for sale! It just so happened it was between agents, so a for sale sign wasn't posted out front. I went and looked at it and it was EVERYTHING I wanted and more! The owner met me at the price I had allowed. I bought it, and the whole upstairs became my art studio! God knew my heart's desire and he would not allow me to get anything less. He had something better...everything I wanted and more!
