Lorna L. Effler

has become an artist, teacher, writer, visionary, translator, and evangelist just by taking a different approach to getting the Word out about her artwork. During her promising career as a wildlife artist, she rededicated her life to God, and her art. After asking God to reveal to her his desires for her artwork, He began to give her visions of allegorical paintings, of spiritual and physical realities. Realizing that God had a definite purpose for her life, she began her journey on "the road less traveled" and began her art ministry, "Revelation Art...art with a purpose ><>".
Lorna's art represents spiritual and physical realities. Some have labeled Revelation Art as "stealth evangelism". Full of symbolism, her paintings teach spiritual truth. Lorna takes her art to churches and groups, sharing God's message and encouraging people in His promises. Lorna gladly welcomes every opportunity to witness through her work to others.

Lorna L. Effler is an award winning artist, and interpreter, who has exhibited her work throughout the United States. Originally from West Virginia, Lorna is an art graduate from the University of South Carolina. She earned her education credentials at the University of Florida. Currently, Lorna lives in Ocala, FL and teaches people of all ages in her studio and in public schools and higher education. Lorna and her art have been featured on Christian television (including: CBN/The 700 Club, Family Today, Atlanta Live, Niteline, Trinity Wall Street-TV, Club-36). Her work is collected internationally and is available at her exhibits, speaking engagements and her website www.revelationart.org.

In 1997 the Lord commissioned me to "paint the Gospel". During my prayer and devotional time I simply asked: "Lord if there is anything you would like me to paint just let me know". Immediately he began to give me visions of paintings. I sketch the visions as he gives them, then I research and paint the picture. After the picture is painted, I consult the Lord, and write the artist interpretation. Each painting is an important message in picture form...a mystery revealed. Years later, through fasting and prayer, the Lord revealed to me his will for "His" paintings. The Lord called me to have an art ministry: to take the paintings and present them to people along with the interpretations. That people would be touched beyond their soul and into their spirit. To take a portion of profits and give to other ministries, which share the Gospel (the harvest is ripe) and help the poor & orphan. To spread the Gospel through art! He revealed to me I am to go because: "each inspired piece from me is a message to my people--to the lost and the found...and I will be glorified, go testify in art".
